The Singapore Institute of International Affairs (SIIA) is an independent and non-governmental policy research institute. Its Mission is to make Singapore a more cosmopolitan society that better understands the international affairs of this region and the world.
Our research analyses current and emergent trends and recommends new policy initiatives and innovations relevant to policy makers, business leaders and the public. We strive to bridge the gulf between research and policymaking by deepening and broadening the knowledge and discussions of ASEAN and international issues.

ISEAS is a regional center for scholars and other specialists concerned with modern Southeast Asia and its wider geostrategic and economic environment. Its aims are to nurture a community of scholars interested in the region and to engage in research on the multifaceted problems of stability and security; economic development; and political, social, and cultural change.

The Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies (IDSS) was established in July 1996 as an autonomous research institute within the Nanyang Technological University. Its objectives are to:
- Conduct research on security, strategic and international issues
- Provide general and graduate education in strategic studies, international relations, defence management and defence technology
- Promote joint and exchange programmes with similar regional and international institutions; organise seminars/conferences on topics salient to the strategic and policy communities of the Asia-Pacific.
